About Maira
Maira is an Associate in the Shipping Litigation team in Piraeus. She advises clients on various cases including salvage, wreck removal, collisions, towage, general average as well charterparty and bill of lading disputes. The majority of Maira’s work involves multi-jurisdictional litigation and arbitration.
Maira is also part of the team at HFW advising on Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships (MASS) and has contributed to various publications in relation to this area.
She completed her training contract in London, as part of which she undertook a six month secondment to HFW’s Singapore office, where she was involved in a range of contentious shipping cases. Maira then worked for HFW’s London office for two years before transferring to the Greek office.
Maira is qualified in England and Wales and is a native Greek speaker.
