About Julien

Julien is a Partner in the Commodities team, and Global Co-Head of the International Arbitration Group.

He specialises in international commercial and investment treaty arbitration, notably in the construction, energy, hospitality, mining, and oil and gas sectors.

Julien was appointed to the ICC Court of Arbitration for the 2024–2027 term and serves as Secretary General of the International Academy for Arbitration Law. He is also a former Vice-Chair of the IBA Arbitration Committee and previously served as Counsel at the ICC Court Secretariat.

Recognised among France’s top arbitration lawyers by Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500, Julien is also regularly featured in Lexology, Who’s Who Legal, and Décideurs.

He has authored several publications, including The ICSID Convention – A Practical Commentary (2019) and Provisional and Emergency Measures in International Arbitration (2023).

Julien teaches arbitration law in Master’s programs in France and abroad.

He is a member of the Paris Bar and fluent in French and English.
