For over thirty years John has been a key commercial and legal advisor in the Asia Pacific region with international law firms. John is a leading advisor in corporate tax and legal matters including aviation, finance, and leasing.
Relevantly John has worked on the corporate and aviation matters including the acquisition of Aircraft assets for leading aviation lessors Goshawk and Investec Global Aircraft Fund. John played a key role in the restructure of Virgin Australia for its creditors to assist in the revival of the airline.
John’s experience and expertise as a trusted advisor had led him to advise Qantas and the Australian State and Federal Governments on special projects.
John is a lawyer from the University of Queensland and is admitted to practice in England, Hong Kong and Australia.
John has been recognised for his work with many industry Awards the most recent being the Australian Financial Review’s Best Lawyers “Lawyer of the Year” 2022/2023 for Asset Finance.
