About Joanne
Joanne is an experienced litigator, having acted for and advised major insurers, mining and resource companies, rail operators, retailers, live exporters, meat industry bodies and government departments in a wide variety of litigious matters over 20 years. Recent experience includes advising clients on issues arising in complex regulatory frameworks.

Regulatory:
- Advising clients involved in disputes arising in national and international regulatory environments.
- Investigating the conduct of legal practitioners whilst working for the regulator of the legal profession in Western Australia.
Civil litigation:
- Advising and acting for corporate clients in a wide variety of litigious matters.
- Advising and acting for major insurers in a range of insurance matters, including claims under liability, professional indemnity, management liability, business interruption, life, motor vehicle CTP and employers’ indemnity policies. Matters have included a coronial inquest into the death of a child, compensation for victims of motor vehicle accidents who have sustained catastrophic (brain and spinal cord) injuries and a wide range of disputes relating to, for example, aviation hull damage, a defective marine engine, contaminated sites and damage to buildings adjoining a construction site.
