About Jessica

Jessica is a legal director in the Shipping Team. She has been with HFW since 2010, joining after several years with another international marine law firm.

Jessica specialises in the transactional side of commercial shipping and yachting, advising owners, shipyards, financial institutions, brokerage houses, and designers on all aspects of the construction, refit, sale and purchase, design, management, crewing and chartering of ships and large yachts.

She also has experience of drafting and negotiating a variety of contracts for the shipping sector, including BIMCO forms and other standard contracts, as well as experience of contracts related to the seismic industry such as seismic acquisition contracts, cooperation agreements with governmental agencies/ NOCs, seismic product repair and leasing agreements, etc.

In 2014 she undertook a four month placement at an international oilfield services company, gaining contractual experience in the acquisition of seismic data, including acquisition agreements with governmental agencies and NOCs, joint ventures with third parties and licensing of acquired data.
