About Jeremy
Jeremy was elected in 2019 as HFW’s Managing Partner, a role which he continues to fulfil today.
Jeremy graduated in Law from the London School of Economics and joined Clyde & Co LLP as an Articled Clerk, before qualifying as a Solicitor in 1991. Jeremy became a Partner in 1998 and in 2001 he moved as a Partner to Barlow Lyde & Gilbert LLP. This was followed by a move in 2011 to HFW.
Before becoming Managing Partner, Jeremy’s practice focused on aviation law, international law and dispute resolution. He acted for airlines, operators and others in several major losses around the globe and was actively involved in other significant aviation and insurances cases, particularly in a number of Latin American jurisdictions. Jeremy headed the Aerospace Group Latin America and Caribbean practice until 2019. During this time Jeremy was instrumental in establishing HFW’s Brazilian and wider Latin America practice and later our co-operation arrangement with local Brazilian law firm CAR.
As HFW’s Managing Partner, Jeremy has been working closely with the firm’s Global Senior Partner, Giles Kavanagh, and the firm’s Management Board to focus on the growth of HFW and its people and the delivery of high-quality, strategic, and tailored legal services to valued clients around our global network, whilst fostering a culture of respect and collaboration within the firm.
