About Edward
Edwardis a Partner and Head of Aerospace Insurance & Disputes. He specialises in aviation liability, advising on claims involving airlines, manufacturers, corporate jets, helicopters, and light aircraft. Edward has acted on numerous high-profile incidents globally over the last 20 years and has more recently handled complex litigation in the UK, including in relation to claims arising from leased aircraft detained in Russia following its invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. He also advises on business aviation cases including regulation, insurance, and dispute resolution.
He has deep experience in insurance coverage disputes, including proceedings related to Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 and other major losses such as AirAsia QZ8501 and Metrojet 9268. Edward began his career in general insurance and developed his aviation focus during a secondment to British Airports Authority. He is a CEDR-accredited mediator, is a member of the Guild of Air Pilots and qualified for his private pilot’s licence in both the USA and Europe in 2001.
