About Dimitris

Dimitris is a Partner in HFW’s Shipping team, based in the Piraeus office in Greece.

He specialises in shipping, with particular emphasis on dispute resolution arising from charterparties, bills of lading, management agreements, groundings, salvage, general average, shipbuilding, ship sale and purchase contracts and multi-jurisdictional disputes.

Having spent several years practicing in London, acting mainly for shipowners and insurers before returning to Greece in 2006, Dimitris possesses a wealth of experience in handling both wet and dry shipping matters.

Dimitris is regularly called upon to be a guest speaker/moderator at conferences where shipping expertise is required and discussions on pressing shipping topics arise, including on war related risks. He is bilingual (English and Greek).
