About Daniel

Daniel is a Legal Director in HFW’s Shipping team based in London. He advises on all aspects of marine casualties, including collisions, salvage, fires and explosions, general average, piracy, jurisdiction and limitation of liability.

Daniel has a particular interest in complex damages and quantum disputes, with extensive experience handling quantum claims arising from collisions.

He also advises on a range of dry shipping cases, including charterparty, bill of lading, pool agreement and other commercial and contractual disputes, as well as coverage issues.

Daniel joined HFW in 2010 and was based in the firm’s Singapore office from 2011 to 2016, gaining deep insight into the Asia-Pacific shipping market and jurisdictions. He has also completed secondments at two International Group P&I Clubs.
