About Bob
Bob is a Partner in the Insurance and Reinsurance team. He advises insurers, reinsurers, intermediaries and Lloyd’s participants on corporate, regulatory and commercial matters affecting the insurance industry.
His experience includes M&A, joint ventures, restructurings, capital raisings, distribution arrangements, equity investments (particularly in InsurTech), reinsurance arrangements and prudential regulation. He is particularly well regarded in the legacy and Lloyd’s markets.
Bob spent nine months on a secondment to the UK regulator during the implementation of Solvency II and helped finalise the rules around internal models, the Lloyd’s market and group supervision.
He has contributed chapters on discontinued business solutions to Edward Elgar’s Research Handbook on International Insurance Law and Regulation, on insurance to the OUP’s Brexit and Financial Regulation and on the authorisation of insurance companies to Sweet & Maxwell’s Practitioners’ Guide to the Regulation of Insurance.
He is also the Vice Chair of the City of London Law Society Insurance Law Sub-committee.
