About Anna
Anna is an associate in HFW’s international construction team, based in London. She specialises in construction and engineering law internationally.
Anna has extensive experience advising contractors, employers and subcontractors on large scale projects across a variety of sectors including infrastructure and offshore construction.
She has a particular focus on dispute avoidance and dispute resolution. Anna has recently acted on a large dispute claim under a Dispute Adjudication Board involving issues relating to variations and defects.
Prior to joining HFW’s office in London, Anna was based in HFW’s Australian office, acting for a number of developers and international investors, providing commercial and contractual advice.
Anna has been in the legal profession for over 8 years and was admitted in March 2018. Anna also holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Business Administration.
Anna’s recent experience includes:
- Acting on a US$113 million dispute (in relation to variations and defects) under a Dispute Adjudication Board, governed by the construction contract and English law.
- Reviewing subcontracts and other agreements and providing advice to clients in relation to risk mitigation and suggested drafting changes.
- Acting on a project alliance agreement (PAA) for the upgrade and electrification of a major rail network within the UK, including reviewing and advising on liability under the PAA, and potential disputes under the provisions of the PAA.
- Acting in an international arbitration (LCIA Rules) in relation to an AED 700 million dispute between joint venture parties over a property development in Dubai.
- Reviewing documents and preparing submissions for various construction disputes.
- Reviewing and interpreting construction contracts and contract amendments and reporting on risk mitigation factors.
