Ryan joined HFW’s construction team as an associate in January 2021. Ryan regularly advises principals, head contractors, subcontractors and engineering consultants in in preparation for new projects and opportunities. He has extensive experience in contract tendering, negotiation, contract drafting and contractual administration necessary to achieve successful construction and infrastructure projects.

Ryan also has broad experience acting for both claimants and defendants in all stages of construction and commercial disputes across Australian jurisdictions – including resolving disputes through mediation, arbitration and litigation. He also regularly acts for both claimants and respondents in payment disputes adjudicated under the various security of payment regimes.

Ryan has a particularly strong focus on advising major subcontractors for key infrastructure projects. Having closely assisted clients during their execution of infrastructure project works he brings a pragmatic and commercial approach to managing disputes arising during completion of works effectively for clients.
