About Marc

Marc is a Senior Associate in HFW’s Shipping team in Dubai, who specialises in contracts and regulatory issues in the shipping and logistics sector.

On the contracts side, Marc has extensive expertise advising on, and negotiating a broad range of commercial transactions and arrangements, such as offtake arrangements, concession agreements, port terms and conditions, terminal and other service agreements, charterparties, ship building/repair contracts, contracts of carriage; and commodity sale and purchase.

On the regulatory side, Marc advises private stakeholders, as well as regulators, on a variety of key regulatory matters, including in relation to customs and trade restrictions. His work also includes advising on, and assisting with the drafting and issuance of legislation and regulatory instruments.

Being fluent in Arabic (as well as in French and English), and having spent many years in the GCC, Marc is able to advise local and international clients on English law and regional laws equally.

Marc is qualified in England and Wales.
