Dominic is a Partner in the Shipping sector, heading the Global Admiralty and Crisis Management Team. He deals with all issues arising from the full range of marine casualties, including collisions, pollution, groundings, fire and explosion, salvage, wreck removal, total loss, general average, piracy, limitation of liability including both civil and criminal liabilities.

Dominic also deals with insurance coverage, and other shipping related commercial and contractual disputes.

Dominic has a particular interest in pollution incidents and has acted for owners and their insurers in Civil Liability Convention, FUND Convention and STOPIA cases involving claims arising from tanker pollution. He also deals with Bunker Convention pollution damage cases.

Since the start of his HFW career in 2003, he has been involved in numerous high-profile casualties which have brought about multi-party, high value claims with limitation of liability and jurisdiction complexities.

Located in HFW’s Singapore office between 2013 – 2016 Dominic gained direct experience of the Asia Pacific shipping market and was involved in casualties across a wide variety of jurisdictions in the Asia Pacific region.
