Kuwait construction contracts forum

An open forum, sponsored by HFW but inclusive to all, dedicated to discussing topics concerning construction contracts in Kuwait, hosting regular events and providing a valuable meeting point to discuss relevant issues.

Aims of KCCF

Kuwait is undergoing enormous infrastructure expansion with many exciting and impressive projects underway or in the planning stages. To ensure the efficient operation of such projects it is essential that the construction industry in Kuwait utilises modern and sophisticated contractual processes. Construction professionals need to be up-to-date with contractual and dispute resolution developments in order to drive best practice. Such processes will reduce problems on projects and help ensure they are completed on time and on budget.

KCCF meetings

KCCF meetings are open to all and we encourage all participants to suggest topics for discussion. We also envisage that future meetings will involve external speakers, such as internationally recognised arbitrators. Subjects for debate and discussion are likely to include commonly used forms of contract, dispute resolution procedures, contract administration processes (e.g. notices), and Kuwaiti law issues relevant to construction.

KCCF meetings will be free to attend although there will be a registration process. We are not operating a formal membership process but will circulate by email regular updates for those expressing an interest.

Get involved

The forum is open to anyone with an involvement or interest in construction contracts. This includes, but is not limited to, employer/owner organisations that procure construction work, contractors, subcontractors and consultants. We envisage that the issues discussed will be of interest to project managers, engineers, surveyors and claims industry consultants.

We encourage you to email us with your suggestions and comments. We are especially interested in hearing from people who would like to get involved in speaking on panel discussions.

Please email us at: KCCF@hfw.com

We look forward to hearing from you.
