London Multimodal Transport 2025

HFW’s logistics team is pleased to invite you to its annual in-person Multimodal Transport Seminar in London.

The morning will centre around the misadventures of Young Forever Limited, a supplier of LED masks, who purchased two containers worth of LED masks from a supplier ahead of the forthcoming London Fashion Week. One of the two containers is rolled over to a later vessel after an increase in freight rates and the introduction of a new surcharge.

We will spend the morning looking at the fallout from the container delay, the incident at sea and the termination of the supply agreement. The other container also included a pallet of nail vanish and caught fire during the ocean voyage. And to make matters worse, Be Kind to Yourself Limited, who recently signed an agreement to buy LED masks from Young Forever Limited, decided to terminate the supply agreement.

The afternoon will take the form of a legal round up covering the following:

• The Employment Rights Bill and race and disability pay gap reporting: The latest legislative developments in UK employment law.
• A focus on fraud and enforcement risk increases.
• Managing regulatory risk: what are the current priorities for logistics companies, their customers and insurers.
• Practical issues relating to acquiring logistics premises, including around the supply and use of utilities.
• Competition law & information exchange.
