HFW’s M&BD team is comprised of three teams, the International M&BD team, Industry Group team, and Marketing Operations team (events, graphic design and the CRM system). Collectively, this is the Global M&BD team.

This job description is for the role Marketing & Business Development Executive, Dubai as part of the International M&BD team. It involves working closely with the Middle East M&BD team..

Job purpose

Marketing & Business Development Executive’s role is to provide marketing and business development support to all sector industry groups across our Middle East offices on a range of marketing and business development activities.  The successful candidate will collaborate with the world-wide Marketing & BD, Communications, Design and Knowledge Management teams in addition to Personal Assistants.

Key responsibilities

The role will be varied, but not limited to:

  • Assist with preparation, coordination, and delivery of pitches, panels, and capability statements.
  • Update and maintain proposals database, capability statements, and CVs.
  • Follow up on BD and marketing opportunities, update pipeline and reports.
  • Provide information and support for pitches and marketing initiatives.
  • Identify and monitor matters and credentials for directories, website, and newsletters.
  • Support account management tasks and assist with legal directory and awards submissions.
  • Coordinate approval and distribution of briefings and articles, including proofing.
  • Maintain marketing collateral and ensure updated documents are uploaded online.
  • Support sponsorships, external marketing opportunities, and client management system (InterAction).
  • Assist with webinars, events, and post-event follow-up.
  • Perform ad hoc duties as required.

Key skills & experience required

  • Degree qualification with 2–4 years’ law firm experience.
  • Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
  • Ability to build trust and collaborate across global teams.
  • Experience working across all business levels, ideally in a multi-jurisdictional environment.
  • Strong IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of CMS and CRM (InterAction) is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects to deadline.
  • Proactive and resourceful, with ability to work independently.
