Legal Cashier

Legal Cashier supporting our Finance department.

The role

To provide an effective and efficient Cashiering function within the Finance Department.

Key responsibilities

To assist the Senior Cashier with the following:

  • Client residual balances: liaising with partners and associates and assisting with returning old balances.
  • Update client accounting records/statements for clients.
  • Post Client transactions to Elite 3E.
  • Post Office Receipts to Bills to Elite 3E.
  • Cashiering for Greek, Geneva and Monaco entities.
  • Enter and verify payments on the online banking platform.
  • Various reporting tasks on a monthly basis.
  • Check and process the client to office bill payments.       

Additional duties:

  • General office administration, such as filing and retrieving copy documents and other projects as required.
  • Providing holiday cover to other members of the Finance team.
  • Any other ad hoc duties as may be required.

Key skills & experience required

A minimum of three years’ legal cashiering experience.

  • Experience of Elite 3E practice management system.
  • Good knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules.
  • Experience of dealing with residual balances ideal.
  • Experience in an international environment and on-line international payments advantageous.
  • Accurate keyboard skills.
  • Computer literate, with good knowledge of MS Office.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Self-starter, with the ability to use initiative and manage own workload effectively.
  • Enthusiastic team player with good interpersonal skills; helpful and willing to go the extra mile.
  • Customer focus; willingness and ability to deal with enquiries from budget holders and suppliers in a confident, efficient and friendly manner.
  • Good numeracy, organisation skills and strong attention to detail.
