Vacation SCHEMES

We offer spring and summer vacation schemes yearly, granting the opportunity to work and experience our culture first hand.

WHAT WE OFFER

Our vacation schemes are open to penultimate year law students, final year law and non-law students and graduates. Completing a vacation scheme is an ideal opportunity to find out more about the firm and our industry sectors.

Vacation schemes are also an integral part of our recruitment process for Trainees. Our team often offer training contracts to vacation scheme participants.

A vacation scheme is a great way to experience the work and culture of the firm first-hand.

As part of the vacation scheme you will be granted learning opportunities through:

  • a dedicated trainee buddy,
  • regular talks about different parts of the firm
  • Social events providing opportunities to network across the firm.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

We seek individuals with strong academics and analytical skills, lots of enthusiasm and a passion for law and commerce.

WHAT’S INVOLVED

Negotiation exercise

A one hour negotiation exercise. Providing the opportunity for you to display how you work with others, your communication style and your influencing/ problem solving skills.

Research project

Short written project researching a commercial topic. An opportunity to display your research skills, as well as written communication and analysis.

Partner interview

You also attend a final round Partner interview, either during the scheme (if you are on a two week scheme) or shortly after (if a one week scheme).

Applications for our vacation schemes open in October each year.

All vacation scheme students are guaranteed an interview for the Training Contract. You can also apply for a Training Contract without completing a vacation scheme.

Places are filled on a rolling basis so we would encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible.
