Niyam Syndicate 2047 commences underwriting from 1 April and aims to help develop the Indian (re)insurance market as part of India’s Vision 2047 initiative, aiming to enhance the country’s economy and infrastructure ahead of the 100-year anniversary of its independence.
JCF is a US‑based private equity investment firm specialising in the global financial services sector.
The HFW team was led by Partner Will Reddie, and included Partner Ashwani Kochhar, Associate Jake Whitfield and Trainee Tom Gibbons.
Will Reddie, Partner, HFW:
“We have really enjoyed collaborating with Jacob, Jasmin and the team at Ashurst to help JCF and Niyam launch the new syndicate – congratulations to Jonathan, Bobby and their respective teams.
It’s also great to be involved in establishing a venture which forms part of the bigger picture of India’s centenary vision. We look forward to seeing the business go from strength to strength following its launch.”
