Global, sector-focused law firm HFW has relocated to a new premises in Singapore to recognise the firm’s move to flexible working.
HFW worked with leading design consultancy, Space Matrix, on the design and fit out for the new space, which was designed with an agile, collaborative environment in mind. The conventional notion of legal practice is fast evolving and HFW is one of the firms leading this change.
The result is a modern and expansive office, with a coffee bar, booths, and lounges for collaboration, and plenty of space to cater for client events in-house.
All employees were also given new IT equipment for the office and for their home offices, ensuring everyone has access to the same set up wherever they choose to work.
Laarni Alvarez, Office Manager Singapore, HFW:
“We really wanted to make sure we put staff considerations at the forefront of the project. We conducted a staff survey of working preferences which showed the diversity of working styles across the office. The survey helped inform the look and feel of the new workspace as well as our continued support of agile working.”
John Forrester, Singapore Office Head, HFW:
“As we continue to adjust to a post-Covid environment, we want to ensure we’re utilising office space in the most efficient way, while still making sure our staff feel comfortable returning to the office.
“We are seeing a continuing trend towards a hybrid, more flexible way of working and our new premises reflects the changing nature of office work.”
HFW has operated in Singapore for over 30 years and has 16 partners and more than 40 lawyers.
