HFW’s Global Head of Shipping Paul Dean has been named by Lloyd’s List as one of the 100 most influential people in the maritime industry and one of the market’s top 10 lawyers.
Lloyd’s List said the list represents “the very best legal minds across maritime law”.
Paul specialises in offshore and marine, focusing mainly on charterparties, bills of lading, shipbuilding, rig disputes, collisions, fire and explosion, salvage, general average, groundings, total loss, towage, seismic and limitation.
He was recently part of shipping association BIMCO’s drafting sub-committees for its industry standard offshore decommissioning contract “DISMANTLECON” and for its clauses relating to the IMO 2020 sulphur emission rules.
