HFW partner Jay Tooker has been named Aviation and Yachts Lawyer of the Year at the Chambers High Net Worth Awards 2019.
Legal directory Chambers says that the awards recognise “legal excellence in the world of private wealth”.
Jay is based in HFW’s London office and specialises in advice relating to the building, sale and purchase, and financing of ships and yachts. He also advises clients on corporate and international trade matters.
Jay and the wider HFW yachts team are both ranked in the top tier in Chambers HNW for global yachts advice. Clients, who provide anonymous testimonials to support the Chambers directory rankings, describe Jay as “a very commercially astute operator who knows his stuff, is easy to work with and will work with you to get a deal done,” adding that he “stands out” in the market as someone who is “quick to response and approachable” and “very professional, level-headed and pragmatic.”
HFW also recently won Deal of the Year at the Seatrade Maritime Awards, and was named Shipping Law Firm of the Year at the China Business Law Awards.
