HFW advises Solo Group management on its acquisition by Platinum Equity

Global, sector-focussed law firm HFW has advised the management of Solo Group, a European leader in customisable products and clothing for businesses, on its acquisition by Platinum Equity.

This strategic transaction marks a new stage in the development of Solo, founded in 1991 and based in Paris, which has established itself as a key player in the sector thanks to its comprehensive range of sustainable and customisable textiles. The acquisition in 2022 of Dutch supplier Midocean enabled Solo to strengthen its position in the European market and offer its customers an all-in-one solution.

With a team of 1,600 employees across Europe and Asia, Solo stands out for the quality of its products, its fast delivery times, its advanced customisation capabilities and its pan-European distribution network.

The HFW team was led by Partner Thomas Forin, who leads the firm’s Paris-based M&A/PE department, and included Hugo Meunier and Edouard Delfour, HFW supported Solo’s management (excluding the founder) throughout the transaction, providing expertise in private equity, corporate law and cross-border transaction structuring.

The transaction remains subject to the information and consultation procedures with the relevant employee representative bodies, as well as customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals.
