HFW advises China Mengniu Dairy Company on A$256.8m sale of New Zealand manufacturing facility to a2 Milk

Global, sector-focused law firm HFW has advised China Mengniu Dairy Group (China Mengniu), one of China’s largest dairy producers, on the A$256.8 million sale of its nutritional manufacturing facility in Pokeno, New Zealand to ASX-listed a2 Milk Company (a2 Milk).

a2 Milk will acquire the manufacturing facility by purchasing all of the shares in Yashili New Zealand Dairy Co. from Yashili International Group Limited (a subsidiary of China Mengniu) on a debt and cash free basis.

The HFW deal team was led by partner Bryn Davis with support from partner Bi Chen and senior associates Kayla Giudicatti and Catherine Cai.
