Simon specialises in international commercial dispute resolution, focussing on the insurance and reinsurance sector. He advises on major insurance/reinsurance disputes, usually complex, cross-border and high-value, particularly in relation to energy, construction, marine, property and casualty claims. His energy experience includes both onshore and offshore, whilst his construction experience includes CAR/EAR, DSU, business interruption/ALOP and builders' risks. His marine work has featured hull, cargo, P&I, collisions, salvage and sue & labour claims. He also has experience of charterparty and bill of lading disputes. His work is usually international and cross-border, involving different legal systems across the world. Simon has a wide range of experience in ADR, including mediation and arbitration.
Simon also regularly handles subrogated recoveries, broker E&O matters, policy reviews and commercial risk management advice.
Simon is fluent in French and German, and qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales.
