Nick has been based in our Shanghai office for 14 years and works principally on shipping matters, specialising in charterparty, bill of lading, MOA and shipyard disputes, acting for both Mainland Chinese and overseas clients. He has a strong international arbitration practice with cases under ICC, LCIA, LMAA, SIAC and HKIAC.

Nick also regularly advises on insolvency issues and security for finance leasing matters as well as handling disputes over international trade, shipbuilding, charterparties, logistics and commercial matters.

Nick is ranked in Chambers China 2021 for Shipping Litigation. Chambers quotes one particular client as saying that "his local knowledge and his understanding of the Chinese legal system prove enormously beneficial". Nick is also listed as a Shipping expert in Who's Who Legal and named in the Legal 500 Asia Pacific Guide 2019.

Nick 毕业于剑桥大学，于2001年加入夏礼文伦敦办公室。在夏礼文伦敦成为一名执业律师后，于2006年加入夏礼文上海，并在2008年成为合伙人。

Nick在我们的上海办公室工作了15年，主要为中国大陆和海外客户处理国际贸易和航运事务。多次代表国内船东、船厂、船舶经营人、贸易商和最终用户，成功地维护了他们的利益而获得高度评价和信任。

Nick擅长处理航运与贸易纠纷的诉讼与仲裁，特别是在涉及租约、提单、船舶买卖合同和国际贸易纠纷的国际仲裁方面有丰富的经验。他在国际仲裁委员会、LCIA、LMAA、SIAC和香港国际仲裁委员会的仲裁案件中有着丰富的经验。
