HFW Ranked Again By The Times As One Of UK's Top Commercial Disputes Practices
Global, sector-focused law firm HFW has again been ranked by The Times as one of the UK's top commercial disputes practices.
The Times commented that the firm is "undergoing a period of sustained growth, bringing in leading partners and teams across its international network" and "is regularly instructed on complex and high-value matters in the aerospace, commodities, construction, energy, insurance and shipping sectors."
The rankings are based on a survey of more than 4,300 solicitors across England, Wales, and Scotland. Less than 3% of law firms recommended by respondents made it into the final rankings.
HFW has been ranked every year since The Times first published its report.
HFW has more than 350 disputes lawyers across the Americas, Europe the Middle East and Asia Pacific, specialising in high-value, complex, multi-party and multi-jurisdictional disputes, with a particular focus on commercial litigation, fraud and asset recovery, insolvency, investigations, and enforcement actions.
Independent data shows that HFW handled more commercial litigation in the English Commercial Court than any other law firm over the past eight years – both by number of cases and days in court.
HFW has continued to strengthen its global disputes practice with a series of senior hires, and launched in the British Virgin Islands in 2022 with the acquisition of a leading disputes team. It is now uniquely positioned among global law firms to assist clients with litigation in all of the key international disputes hubs, including London, Hong Kong, Shanghai and the BVI.
The firm is founding members and signatories of both the Greener Litigation Pledge and Greener Arbitration Campaign – legal industry initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of dispute resolution.
