HFW Advises Abu Dhabi Listed Company On MULTI-JURISDICTIONAL Maritime JV
Global, sector-focused law firm HFW advised Abu Dhabi listed company Al Seer Marine Supplies and Equipment Company on its joint venture with Netherlands-based maritime company Damen Shipyards and Singapore's DTec Industries.
The joint venture will work with partners in the Middle East and other countries to sell, build and maintain high-quality marine vessels around the world. This is part of Al Seer's plans to complete maritime deals totalling Dh36.7 billion (US$10 billion) over the next 10 years to generate growth.
HFW's team advising Al Seer, a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi-based International Holding Company, was led by Alex Kyriakoulis and included Tania De Swart, Catherine Emsellem-Rope and Jemima McDonald.
The firm also recently advised Al Seer on the pre- and post-delivery Shari'ah-compliant Islamic financing of two newbuild liquefied petroleum gas tankers constructed at Hyundai Heavy Industries, as part of its joint venture with BGN International.
