Alex specialises in international commercial dispute resolution for clients in the insurance and reinsurance sector. He has acted for both the insurer, insured and intermediaries. Alex has represented clients in both English High Court proceedings and international arbitration under a range of institutional rules. His experience includes assisting clients with coverage and liability issues in a wide range of business lines including: marine, energy (onshore and offshore), CAR, property damage/business interruption, professional indemnity, financial institutions and political risks and trade credit.

Alex also has more general commercial litigation experience, within the context of the insurance and reinsurance sector, including reinsurance accounting disputes. He also has experience of working within HFW's non-contentious insurance team where he worked on a broad range of corporate and regulatory matters relevant to the insurance and reinsurance sector.

Alex's experience includes a period spent working in-house within the claims team of a leading Lloyd's syndicate.

Alex is qualified in England and Wales.
