About David
David is a Legal Director in HFW’s Shipping team specialising in shipping, offshore and export finance.
David has extensive experience acting for both financiers (including banks, funds and other institutional investors) and owners in a wide variety of ship finance and offshore transactions, including syndicated and structured finance deals, restructurings , refinancings, newbuilding financings and sale and purchase of second-hand vessels.
David has acted for financings for tankers, VLCCs, LNG, container ships and general cargo vessels as wells as FPSOs, FSOs and offshore support vessels operating in the North Sea, on the Norwegian Continential Shelf and offshore Brazil, Nigeria, Mexico and the East Costs of Canada.
David has also spent time on a long-term client secondment to a major international bank where he was a member of the legal team for infrastructure and export finance.
