Scott is an Associate in HFW’s Corporate & Commercial team, based in Perth. He is a projects and energy lawyer recognised for his nimble and intuitive approach to legal challenges. He possesses a deep understanding of Australian energy markets and has advised both domestic and international clients on a range of major energy projects.
He has provided specialised and detailed advice regarding the WA electricity market including in relation to facility aggregation, licensing requirements, and the Reserve Capacity Mechanism. Scott’s ability to quickly grasp complex concepts allows him to navigate and provide clear guidance on intricate matters.
In addition to his transactional experience, Scott has played a key role in significant domestic and cross-border financing deals. He is highly familiar with the National Gas Law, the Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM), and the National Electricity Market (NEM), and is adept at interpreting and applying these dynamic and technically demanding legislative frameworks.
