About Guy

Guy is a Partner in HFW’s Aerospace team specialising in aviation and commercial litigation and dispute resolution.

Guy advises aircraft and engine lessors, lenders, airlines, manufacturers, MROs and corporate jet operators. He has extensive experience in disputes involving aircraft and engine leases, delivery and redelivery issues, technical claims and financing arrangements, including PDP and portfolio financing. He also has significant cross border enforcement experience, having acted for lessors and lenders on the repossession of more than 25 aircraft and engines across jurisdictions including China, India, Hong Kong, Singapore, Pakistan, the US and France, and managing related litigation in various offshore locations. Guy additionally advises on the use of technology in aviation, including AI and commercial UAV operations.

His commercial and finance practice often involves cross border issues, including multi jurisdictional investigations and litigation arising from regulatory actions by the FCA, SEC, DOJ, EC and JFTC and related court action. His work includes disputes relating to financial products and lending, investment platforms, asset management cases such as carried interest clawback claims, enforcement of security and complex contractual disputes. He also advises on cryptocurrency and digital asset disputes, including the defence of a multi million dollar NFT dispute and a complex dispute relating to a Web3 taken platform.

He has worked closely with legal teams globally and completed a secondment with the EMEA litigation and contentious regulatory team at Goldman Sachs.
