Accountant
We are looking for an Accountant to join the Finance team in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
- Review WIP reports to assess billable status and ensure policy compliance.
- Manage end-to-end billing processes.
- Handle trust account transactions including monthly bank reconciliations.
- Provide coverage duty for ship sale closing procedures, including liaising with banks to obtain MT103, and facilitating transfers from clients’ accounts to office accounts.
- Maintain monthly breach register for trust accounts to ensure compliance with SRA and send quarterly updates to Partners.
- Post disbursements accurately in line with Singapore GST and accounting standards.
- Maintain the fixed asset register in Cognos, including asset additions, transfers, and disposals.
- Prepare fixed asset reconciliations in accordance with Financial Reporting Standards (FRS).
- Assist with month-end closing duties, including journal posting and maintaining monthly balance sheet schedules.
- Support internal and external audit by consolidating required documentation to ensure compliance with internal controls and statutory obligations.
- Undertake other ad-hoc duties as required by the organisation.
- Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3-4 years of accounting experience; exposure from professional services, legal will be advantageous.
- Familiarity with AP, billing, and audit processes; exposure to trust accounts will be advantageous.
- High proficiency in Excel.
- Detail-oriented, organised, and good time management.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Proactive mindset and critical thinking skill.
