Global, sector-focused law firm HFW has advised Focus Minerals Ltd (Focus Minerals) on the sale of the Laverton Gold Project to Genesis Minerals for cash consideration of A$250 million.
Located in Western Australia’s Eastern Goldfields region, about 250km north of Kalgoorlie, the Laverton Gold Project has a Mineral Resource estimate of 4.0 million ounces of gold.
Focus Minerals Executive Chair, Wanghong Yang said: “We are extremely pleased with the outcome achieved in the sale of Laverton and believe the consideration payable represents compelling value to our shareholders.”
The HFW deal team was led by partner Bryn Davis, with support from senior associates Kayla Giudicatti and Loren Harper, associates Peter Hiotis and Eric Zhang and graduate Shiya Tee.
