About Ed
Ed is a Senior Associate in HFW’s Aerospace team and is based in the firm’s British Virgin Islands office. His practice focuses on aviation and insurance disputes, with extensive experience advising clients on complex, multi-jurisdictional claims and litigation across the aviation sector.
He has acted on numerous major losses involving cross-border issues and fatal accidents worldwide, including incidents involving commercial, military and recreational aircraft. Ed routinely advises aviation industry participants and their insurers across Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe.
Ed manages key airline, airport and ground handling accounts, handling claims advanced against airlines, operators, manufacturers, ground handlers, refuellers and their insurers.
In addition to his contentious practice, Ed advises on aircraft leasing disputes and aviation insurance coverage matters, acting on complex aviation risks for insurers and reinsurers.
Ed qualified as a Solicitor in England & Wales in September 2017 and is also admitted in the Republic of Ireland. He is fluent in Spanish.
