About Amalia
Amalia is an Associate in HFW’s Shipping team with specialist experience in shipping, export financing and yachting.
Amalia advises owners/borrowers, shipyards, financial providers, export credit agencies, brokerage houses, managers and designers on a wide range of matters in the commercial shipping and yachting industries including debt finance, export credit finance, construction, refit, sale and purchase, design, registration as well as management and operational issues.
She has spent six months on secondment to the export finance team of a major international bank and has also worked at HFW’s Piraeus and Monaco offices.
She has contributed to various publications including to the Lloyd’s Maritime and Commercial Law Quarterly 2021, with an article in relation to the role of global limitation of liability for maritime claims in the modern business environment (available to download by clicking here) and to LexisNexis, with a practice note on Shipping finance—Export Credit Agency financing (available to download by clicking here). She is also a member of the Young Professionals in Yachting UK Chapter.
She is qualified in England and Wales and speaks fluent Greek.
