About Mark
Mark is a Master Mariner and lawyer with more than 20 years’ experience in the shipping industry. He is experienced in investigating and handling major collisions, groundings, salvage, total loss and cargo disputes, and also advises clients on international trade, marine insurance, charter party, admiralty and maritime matters, including ship management and vetting.
Mark previously spent more than a decade at sea with Shell on LPGCs, VLCCs, LNGCs and product tankers, reaching Chief Officer, as well as a shore-side role with the company in the Ship Quality Assurance department.
Mark was also Quality Assurance and ISM Manager at Norbulk Shipping, overseeing the internal and external audit schedule for the office and a fleet of approximately 80 vessels, and worked at V.Ships as both Marine Safety & Quality Superintendent and Divisional Vetting Manager, tracking the company’s performance in relation to SIRE and TMSA audits.
He is a Freeman of the Honourable Company of Master Mariners and Associate Fellow of the Nautical Institute.
