About Brigid
Brigid provides insureds, insurers and reinsurers with coverage and monitoring advice on complex insurance and reinsurance issues.
She specialises in financial lines products, and frequently advises on coverage issues arising in policies issued to financial institutions, pension trustees, solicitors, investment funds, fund managers, independent financial advisors (IFAs), directors and officers (D&Os), brokers, and others. Brigid has acted in many high-value and multi-faceted disputes, including those involving arbitration.
Brigid also frequently acts in the defence of claims made by third parties against a range of professionals, including corporate trustees, solicitors, insurance brokers, real estate agents, IFAs and construction professionals.
She has over 14 years’ experience and has worked in multiple jurisdictions, including New Zealand, England and Australia (NSW, ACT, and VIC). She spent eight years in London, advising London insurers on complex coverage matters and defending various professionals. During that time she was also seconded twice to London market insurance companies, where she gained extensive experience in claims handling and insurer reporting protocols.
