Legal Cashier

Legal Cashier supporting our Aerospace team and Client Account Manager.

The role

An experienced Legal Cashier is needed to join our busy Cashiers’ team and support the Aerospace Client Account Manager with the efficient management of client funds relating to the Aerospace group.

Key responsibilities

  • To assist the Aerospace Client Accounting Manager with the following:
  • Updating client account records and statements for clients.
  • Liaising with partners and associates to resolve queries and ensuring balances are returned to clients at the end of a matter.
  • Posting client transactions to Elite 3E.
  • Assisting with the quarterly reporting to all clients/brokers.
  • Posting and verifying payments on the online banking platform.
  • Checking and processing Aerospace settlements and third part costs.
  • Processing client to office bill payments.

Additional duties:

  • Providing holiday cover to other members of the Cashiers’ team.
  • Any other ad hoc duties as may be required.

Key skills & experience required

  • A minimum of three years’ legal cashiering experience.
  • Good knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules.
  • Experience of dealing with residual balances ideal.
  • Experience in an international environment and on-line international payments advantageous.
  • Accurate keyboard skills.
  • Computer literate, with good knowledge of MS Office.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Self-starter, with the ability to use initiative and manage own workload effectively.
  • Enthusiastic team player with good interpersonal skills; helpful and willing to go the extra mile.
  • Customer focus; willingness and ability to deal with enquiries from budget holders and suppliers in a confident, efficient and friendly manner.
  • Good numeracy, organisation skills and strong attention to detail.
