Simon is a Consultant specialising in the investigation and handling of all claims (wet and dry) arising out of marine casualties. Acting principally for shipowners and their insurers, he has particular expertise in advising on collisions, allisions, salvage, towage, fire, explosion, stranding, structural failure, wreck removal, oil pollution/HNS and investigations by regulatory authorities.

In addition, Simon deals with the various contractual disputes which regularly arise from casualties, including unseaworthiness, unsafe port claims and general average. Simon also handles both hull and P&I marine insurance coverage disputes.

Simon has published various articles and undertaken numerous client training workshops.

Simon is a member of the Pollution Committee of the British Maritime Law Association.

Simon is recommended in Legal 500 UK 2012.

Simon is qualified in England and Wales.
