More about Ross

Ross is a Master Mariner in our London office and forms part of our shipping emergency response team. Ross deals with marine casualties, including collisions, groundings, fire, cargo claims and salvage.

Prior to HFW, Ross held a Marine Pilot position, completing over 900 acts of Pilotage. He gained exposure to handling all vessel types from modern offshore vessels to unmanned barges with towage assets.

Prior to this appointment Ross sailed as Master on Ro-Pax vessels with a respected Ferry Operator. He has 14 years sea going experience encompassing Pilotage, Ro-Pax, Offshore and Cruise. Exposure to these different areas has honed his skills in voyage planning, cargo operations and stability.

Ross also holds an Honours Degree from Glasgow University in Engineering.

We are working with clients across our international network to help them minimise the impact of COVID-19 on their business and to prepare for what's next. To find out more, visit our dedicated Covid-19 hub.

The London office is the firm's largest, with over 250 lawyers.

It offers the full range of services that HFW provides globally, with partners from the London office working closely with all the other HFW offices, as well as in many jurisdictions around the world. HFW moved to its current premises in September 2008, having previously been in nearby Lloyds Avenue for almost 100 years.
