Summary

This hour-long presentation by HFW's Houston attorneys Thomas Nork and Alex Mendez discusses the rise in "nuclear" verdicts in Texas from 2017 to 2021, followed by a look at the three "thermonuclear" verdicts in Texas in 2021 ($222M, $352M & $730M).

The presentation is capped off with a forensic analysis of the trial leading to the $222M verdict, based on information learned from the defense's lead counsel - which includes an analysis of plaintiff's lawyer's (Arnold & Itkin) jury selection and trial tactics.
