More about Lorraine

Lorraine's aviation practice covers a broad range of insurance and commercial related work for industry stakeholders to include aviation insurers, airlines, airports, product manufacturers, service providers and airports. On the contentious side her work has an emphasis on high value, multi-jurisdictional disputes. Her core areas of expertise are in arbitration (ICC and ad hoc), litigation, contract reviews and drafting, insurance coverage advice, and insurance claims handling.

Lorraine has been involved in some of the most high profile cases for the Aviation practice in the last year including the case for Hull All Risk Insurers of Malaysian Airline System Boeing 777-200.

Lorraine also has extensive airport slots experience having worked in support of The Official Receiver and appointed Special Managers following the collapse of the Thomas Cook Group (TCG), taking the lead on the drafting of template agreements for the secondary trading of TCAL held slots. This work required in-depth knowledge of the EU Slot Regulation and IATA Worldwide Slot Guidelines. She has also worked on slot exchange instructions in jurisdictions outside the UK, including the US, Switzerland and Austria.

In addition to extensive aviation expertise, Lorraine's work extends to the space sector providing advice and legal representation to the space industry, and to its insurers and reinsurers on various matters arising out of product supply, launch, in-orbit and other risks.
