Latest Developments in Anti-Corruption Legislation and Enforcement
HFW will be hosting a seminar providing an overview of the latest developments in anti-corruption legislation and enforcement.
Date
24 April 2014
Location
Geneva
Summary
The increased focus on anti-corruption measures internationally has led many countries to review their existing anti-corruption legislation. Switzerland is no exception and proposals to broaden the scope of existing anti-corruption legislation, as well as areas where the Swiss authorities can assist foreign investigations, are being discussed.
Recent developments in the UK show how worldwide trade can be affected by anti-corruption legislation, and the challenges which businesses face.
HFW Partner Daniel Martin and Associate William Hold will present an overview of the current state of anti-corruption legislation in both Switzerland and the UK, with an outlook to the future. During the seminar they will discuss the following areas:
- Key principles in anti-corruption legislation
- Major challenges and opportunities which businesses face
- Likely enforcement trends
