Increasingly brokers are facing greater legal and regulatory scrutiny, both on the placing and claims side. HFW will be hosting a seminar to highlight the current issues brokers should be aware of in the London marine and non-marine insurance market.

HFW Partner, Costas Frangeskides will be chairing the seminar and speakers will include Partners, Andrew Bandurka and Daniel Martin, as well as Associate, Andrew Samuel. Topics will include:

• E&O Liability - Current E&O risks in BI, political and trade credit insurance.
• Regulatory - What the new regulatory regime means for insurance intermediaries in the UK (with regard to the approach and powers available to the FCA) and whether in practice the FCA will just be the FSA with a different name.
• Sanctions - Practical steps which brokers can take to guard against the risk of inadvertent sanctions violations.
