Courtney is an associate in the Houston office and a member of the firm's energy and resources practice group.
Courtney has a background in physics and master's in engineering which provides her the tools needed to go beyond the legal surface of the maritime and energy issues of our clients.
Her practice areas include collision and cargo claims, contract and general liability claims, and energy transportation disputes. She has also worked on commercial litigation actions, including energy, marine, and insurance coverage matters.
Recent work includes:
- Advising U.S. merchants in an international contract dispute against foreign and domestic cargo and vessel owners.
- Representing a construction company in a financial dispute against landowners and general contractors, involving complex constitutional and statutory lien issues.
She is admitted to practice in all Texas state courts and before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
