Quarterly Seminar: Construction Law Developments in 2016
HFW's construction team will be hosting a morning and an evening seminar reviewing developments in key areas of construction law during 2016.
8 & 9 February 2017
The speakers will analyse the following issues:
- New court judgment which allows changes to contracts to be agreed orally even if the contract stipulates that they must be in writing.
- The Court of Appeal decision in Balfour Beatty v Grove, and how to avoid falling foul of the of the Construction Act payment regime minefield.
- Recent court judgments in which parties have encountered enforcement issues in adjudication due to conflicts of interest or lack of impartiality, and practical steps on how to identify and deal with such issues.
