More about Celia

Celia specialises in construction law, dispute resolution and litigation. She has experience working on complex disputes and litigation in the Supreme and District Courts.

Celia has experience as part of the construction team acting for an international contractor responsible for the design and construction, as well as the operation and maintenance, of a large rail project in Sydney. This role has included dealing with multi-faceted disputes and legal proceedings arising from delays, defects, scope changes, utilities, and joint venture issues.

Celia also has experience in dispute resolution, and notably the resolution of acrimonious disputes in relation to joint venture disputes and Supreme Court proceedings between international investors relating to investment in agricultural construction projects in northern NSW.

Commercial law, wills and succession planning, equity and Workers Compensation

She has worked closely with client individuals and small businesses in commercial law, wills and succession planning, and Workers Compensation. For those matters that proceeded to litigation, she has had experience acting for both the plaintiff and defendant, appearing before the Courts of NSW and instructing counsel to appear. Celia also has experience in equitable litigation and was notably involved in a dispute between a Strata corporation (defendant) and 25 non-resident proprietors of car parking spaces (plaintiffs) which proceeded to the NSW Court of Appeal and was ultimately resolved in favour of the plaintiffs (for whom Celia acted) both at first instance and on appeal.
