Alexandra specialises in shipping, with a particular focus on disputes arising from charterparties, bills of lading, marine insurance, personal injury and marine causalities. She also provides advice in relation to ship arrests and regulatory issues including pollution, licensing and safety (including the IMDG Code and SOLAS). She commonly acts for shipowners, charterers, P&I Clubs and local authorities.

Alexandra specialises in shipping, with a particular focus on disputes arising from charterparties, bills of lading, marine insurance, personal injury and marine causalities. She also provides advice in relation to ship arrests and regulatory issues including pollution, licensing and safety (including the IMDG Code and SOLAS). She commonly acts for shipowners, charterers, P&I Clubs and local authorities.

Alexandra also has experience in commercial disputes with an international element, including enforcement proceedings and freezing orders, as well as international arbitration.

Prior to joining HFW, Alexandra worked in a P&I Club in London for the Club's European Syndicate where she handled P&I, hull and FD&D claims.

Alexandra previously held a role for an international law firm based in New South Wales where she worked on trade and transport, marine insurance, supply chain and logistics matters. In that role, she gained experience in subrogated recovery actions against air and sea carriers.

Alexandra qualified in New South Wales (Australia) and has worked in HFW's Melbourne and Sydney offices.
